On 18.06.2020 at 16:00 in Sofia, at the Roslin Central Park Hotel, a round table was held on the project "General and Sectoral Conciliation Commissions of the CPC - Civil Control for Efficiency" in implementation of Contract No. BG05SFOP001-2.009-0128-C02, which is implemented with the financial support of the Operational Program "Good Governance" under the procedure "Increasing Civil Participation in the Processes of Formulation, Implementation and Monitoring of Policies and Legislation".
The meeting was attended by the Director of the General Directorate "Market Control" at the CPC - Mr. Ignat Arsenov, as well as the Chairman of the General Conciliation Commission at the CPC - Sofia Regional Office Mr. Dimitrov, as well as representatives of the Ombudsman of the Republic of Bulgaria, the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, local business and NGOs.
The team received high marks for the analysis and recommendations for restructuring the CPC, as well as the proposed measures to increase its effectiveness. The representatives of the CPC shared their views on the restructuring and gave their recommendations for the report. Proposals for measures to stimulate traders to participate in conciliation proceedings were made by both the traders themselves and NGOs. The discussion was extremely constructive. The participants filled out a survey, the results of which will become part of the final report with proposals for regulatory changes.
