Analysis of the legislation, case law and available internal rules of the Municipality of Varna regarding citizens' access to public information

A team of experts from the Association "Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution "Consensus", within the framework of the project "CITIZENS AND LOCAL AUTHORITY - FOR ACCESS TO INFORMATION IN PROTECTION OF THE PUBLIC INTEREST" BG05SFOP001-2.025-0129 funded under the Operational Program "Good Governance", prepared an "ANALYSIS OF THE LEGISLATION, JUDICIAL PRACTICE AND THE AVAILABLE INTERNAL RULES OF VARNA MUNICIPALITY IN RELATION TO CITIZENS' ACCESS TO PUBLIC INFORMATION".

The report is an in-depth study of the legal regulation and judicial practice in the field of access to public information. Basic issues and problems in the matter of access to public information were identified, and based on the systematized information, in the next stage of the project, proposals for legislative and regulatory changes in the internal acts of the Varna Municipality regulating the matter will be formulated.
